Can I continue to breastfeed once I’ve returned to work?

Yes, you can absolutely breastfeed at work! Australian law provides that if you wish to continue breastfeeding after you return to paid work, you are legally entitled to, and your employer must act reasonably to accommodate your request to do so. We advise you putting your intentions in writing to your employer, and seeking their support to ensure that you have a private place, with access to a power point if you are using an electric pump, and to a refrigerator to store the breast milk.
